About
A Consultant Breast Oncosurgeon with more than 15 years of surgical experience, Dr. Suzita Hirachan performs one of the highest volumes of breast cancer surgery in Nepal.
She practises at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and at Primera Hospital, home to Nepal’s first dedicated breast clinic. Her work covers the full range of breast surgery — breast-conserving and oncoplastic cancer operations, reconstruction, breast reduction and enlargement, and gynecomastia surgery — as well as thyroid surgery.
Every plan starts with the person, not just the diagnosis. Dr. Hirachan combines sound oncological principles with modern reconstructive techniques, aiming for the best possible cancer outcome and a result patients feel comfortable living with.
Beyond the operating theatre, she teaches surgery at the Institute of Medicine and has authored more than 30 scientific publications on breast cancer care in Nepal.

A detailed history and clinical breast examination, with time to answer every question you have.
Step 2
Triple assessment: clinical examination, imaging with ultrasound or mammogram, and a core needle biopsy when needed.
Step 3
Surgery planned around your diagnosis and goals, coordinated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy when they are needed.
Step 4
Close follow-up after surgery, with clear guidance on healing, recovery and long-term check-ups.
Breast health
See a breast specialist if you notice any of these changes.
In the breast or armpit, even if it is painless.
Of one breast, or a new difference between the two.
Dimpling, puckering, redness or an orange-peel texture.
Discharge (especially bloody), a newly turned-in nipple, or a rash.
Breast pain that does not settle or is not linked to your cycle.
A lump or enlargement behind the nipple.
Most breast changes turn out to be harmless. But every change deserves a specialist check — finding cancer early makes treatment simpler and more successful.
